Community Projects

We pride ourselves on delivering a range of projects and support initiatives for our local community. As well as keeping the venue open for the community and the groups who call us home, as a registered charity we work alongside a number of partners making a difference to hundreds of local people.

Coffee Morning

We host a bi-weekly coffee morning at our centre. It is completely free to attend for members of the public. There is cake and bingo too. It's held on Wednesday 10am-12noon.

Lunch Club

Our very own lunch club takes places on the third Thursday of every month. Ran completely in house, we provide a 2 course meal for residents. There's also activities and games.

Soup Wednesday

Over the winter period we have a warm space programme. Alternating with our coffee morning, we host a soup morning. For just £2 you can have unlimited bowls of soup, tea and coffee.

Ferryhill Foodbank

Our foodbank is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-12noon.

This foodbank is partnered with Durham Foodbank. You must have a voucher in order to collect food.

Employability Durham

Employability Durham are a service by Durham County Council aimed at helping people into work. Their team of highly skilled job coaches meet clients here at the centre and offer tailored support to help them into work.

NHS Well-Being for Life

Well Being for Life and Well Being of the Time Being run weekly sessions here at the centre supporting people with their health and fitness needs. These are commissioned NHS services, speak to your GP or practitioner about a referral.
